U-Blot® Histone H3 (Tri Methyl Lys9, Phospho Ser10) Rabbit pAb
Product details
Background:Histones are basic nuclear proteins that form nucleosomes, the fundamental repeating units of eukaryotic chromatin. Histone H3 N‑terminal tail bears combinatorial post‑translational modifications, where different marks can co‑occur on the same histone molecule. H3K9me3S10p denotes the combinatorial modification with trimethyl‑Lysine 9 and phosphorylated‑Serine 10 on histone H3. H3K9me3 is deposited by Suv39h‑family methyltransferases and marks constitutive heterochromatin. During mitosis, Aurora‑B kinase catalyzes S10 phosphorylation on H3K9me3‑containing histones.
