Product details
U-Blot™ Phosphatase Inhibitor Cocktail I (100X) is designed to prevent protein degradation and dephosphorylation during protein extraction from animal cells, tissues, fungi, bacteria, plants, and other related applications.
Cell or tissue extracts contain endogenous proteases and phosphatases that can degrade or demodify proteins, impacting subsequent protein detection. Adding appropriate inhibitors, such as those in this product, effectively prevents protein degradation and dephosphorylation.
This cocktail contains a mixture of four broad-spectrum inhibitors: sodium fluoride, sodium orthovanadate, sodium pyrophosphate, and β-glycerophosphate. It is covalently packaged in 100X concentration, stable at 4°C, and suitable for use with any cell or tissue extract. It helps maintain protein phosphorylation in immunoprecipitation and kinase assays.
The product is easy to use. Add the phosphatase inhibitor mixture to the lysate at a 1:100 ratio for protein extraction, effectively inhibiting protein dephosphorylation.
The inhibitors in this cocktail work as follows:
- Sodium fluoride: Reversible inhibitor of acid phosphatase
- Sodium pyrophosphate: Irreversible inhibitor of serine/threonine phosphatase
- β-glycerophosphate: Reversible inhibitor of serine/threonine phosphatase
- Sodium orthovanadate: Reversible inhibitor of alkaline phosphatase and tyrosine phosphatase
Application
It can widely inhibit acid, alkaline, Ser/Thr, and Tyr phosphatases in protein extracts and maintain the phosphorylation state of proteins during and after cell lysis or tissue protein extraction.
Storage and stability:
Store in a sealed container at 2-8℃, with a shelf life of one year.
