Product details
Background:H3T6 phosphorylation exerts critical regulatory functions during mitosis. This modification counteracts adjacent H3K4me2/me3‑mediated chromatin recognition, prevents aberrant reading of methylation marks upon chromosome condensation, and ensures proper chromosome compaction and segregation in M‑phase. H3T6p is dynamically regulated throughout cell cycle: signal peaks in mitotic cells and diminishes after mitotic exit. Mis‑regulation of H3T6 phosphorylation disturbs mitotic progression, which may lead to chromosome mis‑segregation, genomic instability and malignant transformation.
