Background:
Histone H2AZ is a highly conserved H2A variant independent of DNA replication. It is specifically deposited in gene promoters, enhancers and heterochromatin regions, and regulates chromatin stability and gene transcription. H2AZ participates in key biological processes including cell differentiation, DNA damage repair, stem cell pluripotency maintenance and genome stability regulation. Abnormal expression of H2AZ is closely associated with tumor occurrence and developmental disorders.
