U-Blot® Histone H3K79me2 Recombinant Antibody
Product details
Background:AbFlex® antibodies are recombinant antibodies (rAbs) that have been generated using defined DNA sequences to produce highly specific, reproducible antibodies. Each AbFlex antibody contains a 6xHis Tag, a Biotinylation Tag for enzymatic biotin conjugation using the biotin ligase, BirA, and a sortase recognition motif (LPXTG) to attach a variety of labels directly to the antibody including fluorophores, enzymatic substrates (HRP, AP), peptides, drugs as well as solid supports. AbFlex® KAT5 antibody was expressed as full-length IgG with rabbit immunoglobulin heavy and light chains in mammalian HEK293 cells. KAT5 (Lysine Acetyltransferase 5) , also called as TIP60, is a member of the MYST family of histone acetyl transferases. HATs play important roles in regulating chromatin remodeling, transcription and other nuclear processes by acetylating histone and nonhistone proteins. KAT5 is a catalytic subunit of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase complex which is involved in transcriptional activation of select genes principally by acetylation of nucleosomal histones H4 and H2A.
