U-Blot® Pan-Asymmetric Di-Methyl Arginine Rabbit mAb
Product details
Background:Histones and non-histone proteins undergo diverse enzyme-catalyzed post-translational modifications, including methylation, acetylation, phosphorylation and ubiquitination. Asymmetric dimethyl arginine (ADMA) is a classic arginine methylation modification, catalyzed mainly by type I protein arginine methyltransferases (PRMTs).ADMA modification is widely distributed in eukaryotic cells and enriched in chromatin-associated proteins, RNA-binding proteins and signaling molecules. It participates in regulating chromatin remodeling, gene transcription, RNA splicing, DNA damage repair and cell cycle progression.Abnormal ADMA level is closely associated with metabolic disorders, inflammatory response, tumor occurrence and progression, as well as cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases. It has become an important molecular marker and research target for epigenetic regulation and disease mechanism study.
