Product details
Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) is a commonly used buffer solution in biological research with a wide range of applications. PBS functions to maintain isotonicity, balanced osmotic pressure, ionic strength, and pH buffering. The permeability and ion concentration of PBS are similar to those of the human body (isotonic), making it non-toxic to most cells. PBS does not alter the structure or biological properties of proteins, ensuring that intact and active substances participate in biological reactions under optimal conditions. Therefore, PBS is the preferred choice for generally active biological preparations.
U-Blot™ Phosphate Buffered Saline Instant Granules and Tablets are widely used in scientific research applications, such as cell culture, ELISA, EIA, RIA, protein chips, Western blotting (WB), immune PCR, immunohistochemistry (IHC), flow cytometry (FACS), and paraffin embedding.
