U-Blot™ Western and IP cell lysis buffer is a traditional rapid lysis buffer for cells and tissues. The protein samples obtained can be used for conventional Western blotting, IP, and similar applications. The main components are 50 mM Tris (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl, 1% Triton X-100, along with sodium orthovanadate, sodium fluoride, EDTA, and other inhibitors, which effectively prevent protein degradation.
Important Product Information
The protein concentration of samples obtained using Western and IP cell lysis buffer can be measured with a BCA protein assay kit. However, due to the high concentration of detergent, the Bradford assay cannot be used to determine protein concentration in samples prepared with this lysis buffer.
