MMP-13 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody

MMP-13 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody

Background:This gene encodes a member of the peptidase M10 family of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). Proteins in this family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protease. This protease cleaves type II collagen more efficiently than types I and III. It may be involved in articular cartilage turnover and cartilage pathophysiology associated with osteoarthritis. Mutations in this gene are associated with metaphyseal anadysplasia. This gene is part of a cluster of MMP genes on chromosome 11.

Looking for a reliable MMP-13 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (WR4076) for osteoarthritis (OA) cartilage research or cancer metastasis extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling studies? This antibody is validated across 14 human/mouse/rat cell lines—including HL60, HUVEC, and HCT116—so you can trust consistent signal without cell-specific troubleshooting, and its 1:2500 dilution ratio saves costs while maintaining strong detection. Critically, it detects the 60 kDa active form of MMP-13 (vs. the 54 kDa predicted unmodified form), a key detail for studying the protein’s role in OA cartilage breakdown and metastatic tissue invasion. Search “MMP-13 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody WR4076” to access protocols, request samples, and advance your research efficiently.
